The Zurich Banking Association

The Zurich Banking Association was founded in 1902 as Association of Zurich Credit Institutes by various banks and insurance companies in Zurich. It represents the specific interests of the financial center in dealings with the cantonal and municipal authorities, and cooperates with associations in the other economic sectors in Canton Zurich. It endeavors to ensure that the Zurich Financial Center remains successful.

In particular, its tasks include:
-   Advocating good overall conditions in Zurich
-   Representing the Center on various bodies and in specialized courts
-   Consultation/approval processes
-   Public relations work
-   Issues of common regional interest to employers
-   Education and professional training, especially banking apprenticeships

The Association is a member of the Federation of Zurich Employers' Organizations (the Zurich employers' umbrella association). The Federation operates an office for the old-age, survivors' and invalidity insurance system. See video (in German)
